Prairie Dog Relocators - State by State

The below prairie dog relocators are known to the Prairie Dog Coalition and practice humane, live, wild-to-wild relocations. Each organization is happy to help you receive good PR for your conservation efforts on behalf of this keystone species.

Arizona

Habitat Harmony

HH is a local non-profit that works with Arizona Department of Game and Fish on Gunnsion’s relocations in the Flagstaff and surrounding areas.

Wildlands Conservation Alliance

Wildlands Conservation Alliance seeks to preserve and protect the grassland ecosystems of North America and all its' inhabitants, great and small. We are striving to do this through three primary objectives: Research, Education and Conservation. WCA does not always do actual relocations but may be able to provide support.

PDAWG Task Force / The Prairie Dog Alliance of Santa Fe

Both are advocacy groups, neither of which does actual relocation, but they may be able to link land owners to relocators.

Animal Protection of New Mexico

APNM, Inc. has been working to promote the humane treatment of animals since 1979. In the last few years their wildlife biologist has participated in relocations and research.
